Connecticut Sun Lend A Helping Hand

Team does some 'green' work at Niantic beach

The Connecticut Sun visited the Hole-In-The-Wall Beach in Niantic on Wednesday in advance of WNBA Green Week, which is scheduled for June 21-28.

All of the players and the entire coaching staff was on hand to help plant,
paint and clean up the park and beach area. Members of a local AAU team
also turned out to help with the cleanup efforts.

“It’s just one more thing for our team to give back to the people who
support back,” said Thibault, who led the efforts on shoveling mulch and
watering flowers. “We have a lot of fans out in this community who are
season ticket holders and this is a way to participate and do more things
for them.”

The Sun will be in Chicago to play the Sky on Friday night, but return to
host the Tulsa Shock on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena.
