MHS Women's Soccer Fundraisers & Events

This year the MHS Girls Soccer Team is having a fundraiser on team gear.  Attached we have 7 discounted Nike items that you can order to show your school spirit.  Most items are reduced 30-70% off the normal Nike price.  With Christmas right around the corner, this gear makes for an excellent gift, or maybe you need some orange and black to wear for Halloween!  Either way, we hope you’ll support our team and check out our gear online at: http://team-shop.lidsteamsports.com/form/show/MNTVILWMSCCR!

The team will also be having a Breast Cancer Awareness Game versus New London on Monday, Oct. 24th on the turf at 6:30pm where part of the proceeds of ticket sales and a 50/50 raffle will all go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation as we participate in the Passionately Pink for the Cure. This effort supports life-saving research, education, screenings and treatment programs in the fight to end breast cancer forever. Please help us by wearing pink on Monday, Oct 24th and making a donation to Susan G. Komen at:  http://www.info-komen.org/site/TR/PassionatelyPink/HeadquartersSite?px=10822914&pg=personal&fr_id=2263 Our Team ID#: 10822914  Come and support our effort to raise awareness and funds to “Kick Cancer”!

Also, the Boys and Girls Soccer Teams will be hosting our annual ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ) Cup game on Friday, October 28th.  This will also be our Senior Night with the Boys hosting St. Bernard at 5pm and the Girls hosting St. Bernard at 7pm.  Proceeds from this night’s tickets sales and 50/50 raffle will go to the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.  The disorder is characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and respiratory compromise. ALS is a fatal disease with most affected patients dying of respiratory complications after 2 to 3 years.  Please come out and support our “Head for the Cure”!
