Three Montville Scholar Athletes Honored by BOE

Incredibly hard work pays off for soccer players Jeff Tryon and Connor Leeman and football player Jacob Basilica

 

Montville High School can boast a number of scholar athletes among them Jeffrey Tryon, Connor Leeman and Jacob Basilica.

At the recent the three boys were honored as Montville Marvels with remarks from MHS principal Jeff Theodoss who described them as outstanding students, exceptional athletes and all around great kids.

Tryon, a senior, who was recently named as National High School Player of the Week by NSCAA, was honored by the BOE for being named to the 2012 NSCAA Boys High School All-America Team.

Leeman was honored for being named to the 2012 NSCAA High School Boys Scholar All-America Team. To be accepted to this team, in addition to several other criteria, student athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout his or her career and start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team.

The BOE honored Basilica as a Montville Marvel for being named to the Walter Camp All State Football Team – Top 25 Players in Connecticut.

A huge round of applause for these Montville student athletes!

Do I really want to trust anybody with my money right now. With this government in office. ARead More voluntary pension plan with who in charge. The state? Does anyone seriously trust the state right now. I don't. When the money disappears we will hear what we are from the IRS sorry I plead the 5th. I don't know anything. I didn't see that.
