The Robotics Team

The Tyl Middle School Robotics team won three awards last Saturday in the 2nd annual VEX All Middle School Competition in Mansfield.  The team was crowned Tournament Champions following a game called Sack Attack, the object of which is to place beanbags into goals varying in heights; the team won by more than 100 points. The team was also honored with the Judges Award and the Excellence Award, which is the highest award presented in the competition and is bestowed on the team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a well-rounded VEX robotics program. From the Tyl website: “This team excels in many areas and is a shining example of dedication, devotion, hard work and teamwork. A strong contender in numerous award categories, this team deserves to be recognized for their accomplishments building a robot and in building a “team” committed to quality in everything they do. The recipient of this award qualifies to participate in the World Vex Robotics Championship in Anaheim, California in April.”
