New Mohegan Elementary School Principal Named
A former Connecticut educator now an assistant principal in Maryland, Allison Peterson has degrees from Sacred Heart University
The school board officially hired Allison N. Peterson as new Mohegan Elementary School principal.
Peterson is currently listed as the assistant principal of the S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School in Germantown, MD. She currently lives in Maryland but is relocating to Connecticut.

Peterson's three page resume includes her experience in education, beginning with teaching art to fourth graders in Virginia 18 years ago to elementary school teacher in Pomfret, Brooklyn and Mansfield, Connecticut from 2001 to 2008 and three years spent teaching students in a ‘highly gifted’ school in Maryland.
She has degrees from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield among others.

Peterson was introduced the Montville Board of Education last week where she received a warm welcome.
