Montville Public Schools Announce Upcoming Destruction Of Records

Montville Public Schools has announced that it will be destroying a number of confidential files and records this month.

The district says the destruction of special education, confidential, and health records for students enrolled in Montville Public Schools prior to the 2005-2006 academic year is consistent with regulations established in Connecticut's records retention and disposition schedule.

The records may be needed by students or parents in the future for Social Security benefits or other purposes. The confidential files do not include regular education records.

Any former Montville student who does not want their records to be destroyed should contact the Montville High School Counseling Office at 860-848-1285 prior to August 30.
