Montville Mediators Share Their Skills
Student mediators from MHS visited the Marine Science Magnet High School and worked with the new mediation team
Members of 's 16-person peer mediation team were on hand at the Marine Science Magnet High School to help train the new team in Groton, The Day reported.
According to the article, the mediation team works out issues between students instead of leaving the problem to the administration.

"No offense to the administrators or teachers," Montville mediator Carlie Cave said in the article. "But if two girls get into an argument in the hallway, they both get sent (to) ISS (in-school suspension). Teachers don't always have the time to deal with it. So it's better for everybody if they just go to mediation and we help them solve it."
Magnet school students hope the mediation will work well at their school, too.

"I think it will work here," said Kate Green, the magnet school's student body president, in the article. "We're just 108 students, and we all helped start this school, so we're pretty close. But we're all curious about the next class coming in. The bigger the school gets, the more we'll need it."
