Montville High Students Take the Pledge

501 students and 49 staff members promise not to bully

As part of an ongoing anti-bullying campaign, Montville High School students were invited to sign an anti-bullying pledge on Wednesday.

Principal Chad Ellis said that 501 students and 49 staffers signed the pledge. Ellis said it will probably be framed and displayed in the school.

The campaign began in March, among the student leaders of the school, Ellis said last week.

"You really need to get the kids to own this issue," he said. "When you ask kids to take on serious issues, they will do it."
