MHS Principal Announces Resignation
Chad Ellis has been the principal of Montville High School for about 16 months
Chad Ellis, the principal of Montville High School, has announced that he is resigning at the end of the year.
Ellis lives in Enfield, where he was assistant principal of Enrico Fermi High School from August 2008 through December 2010. He started at Montville High in January 2011.
Ellis said this evening that the commute from his home in Enfield is a major factor in his decision. It takes him an hour and 15 minutes to get to school and an hour and a half to get home.

"The commute is killing me," he said this evening.
Ellis said he gave Superintendent Pamela Aubin notice today so that she has time to open the search for his replacement, and "have a thorough and thoughtful review of candidates," he said.
