Lions Deliver Books to Mohegan Third Graders [VIDEO]

Eighty-two books and a ton of smiles

 

Montville Mohegan-Pequot Lions Club, with Nancy Tucker as their awesome promoter, has taken its mission of bringing a love a learning and reading to a third grade class at Mohegan Elementary School Thursday; they delivered 82 books the students.  The effort was part of Lions International President Wayne Madden’s reading program.

In addition to the books, the Lions also gave teacher Tracy Zurowski a check for $100 for the children that may otherwise not be able to purchase books during the school’s upcoming book fair.

The kids were super excited – as were the educators – when the box containing 82 brand new, Scholastic books including the popular Ramona series.
