Last Day of School in Montville Is Set for June 18

There's no telling what the winter will bring, though

Montville schools lost a full week because of Tropical Storm Irene.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that teacher orientation and professional development days that were scheduled before the start of school did take place, Superintendent Pamela Aubin said at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday.

The final day of school is set, at this point, for June 18, one week later than the original date.

Vacations remain the same, Aubin said.

“We are not a district that ever had a full February break,” she said at the meeting.

“Districts that are making adjustments have a full February break.”

At this point, the April vacation remains untouched, and the calendar remains as it is on the Montville Schools’ website.

“Let’s hope we don’t have another winter like last winter,” Aubin said.
