Free Web Coding Workshop for Local Youth

A free website coding workshop for local youth will be held at Miranda Creative on Saturday, September 15, 2012. The event is part of the Mozilla Summer Code Party, an educational campaign sponsored by Mozilla Webmaker. Miranda Creative will host a Mozilla Summer Code Party at their offices located at 18 Elm Avenue in Norwich, CT on September 15 from 9am-1pm.

The coding workshop is designed to teach attendees the basics of web design by editing and publishing their own web pages. People of all ages are welcome to attend, but the focus is on youth ages 10-20 years old with little or no web experience. Mozilla Webmaker will provide free software, authoring tools and web-maker apps

The Miranda Creative web team will be on hand throughout the day to help guide attendees through the coding process. At the end of the day, everyone can leave with his or her own published web pages.
