RockTenn Engineering Scholarship

The RockTenn Company (formally Smurfit-Stone), Uncasville, CT, will award two merit-based, $1,000 scholarships this year to outstanding science and math students who plan to enter the field of engineering.

Applicants should be seniors in high school and Montville residents who will be attending a two or four year college in the Fall of 2012. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee comprised of RockTenn employees, Montville residents, and a Montville educator.
Preference will be given to students who:

- Excel in advanced-level high school math and science courses,
- Clearly demonstrate a desire to pursue a degree in an engineering field,
- Participate in meaningful activities outside of the classroom
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
1) Must be a Montville resident graduating senior.
2) Must attend a college or university in the Fall of 2012.
3) Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 (based on a 4.0 scale).
4) S.A.T. or A.C.T. must be taken (no minimum score required).
