Daily Five: High School Football, Photos and College Visits

Today's Five focuses on happenings at and about Montville High School.

1. It’s forecasted to be windy, mostly cloudy and warm – high around 78 -- with a chance of a shower or thundershower.

2. Today’s five is all about Montville High School. First up, tonight is the MHS Project Grad 2013 Fundraiser at Chili's from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Chili's will be donating 10 percent of all sales to help make this event happen when you present a voucher while dining. Click here for printable vouchers. Project Grad 2013 is a non-profit organization raising funds for a safe, alcohol and drug-free evening for the graduating Montville High School Class of 2013.

3. Also today at MHS, underclass portraits and ID photos will be taken oduring kids’ English classes. Strike a pose and smile!

4. Speaking of MHS, Friday’s Indians football game is a home game. What’s better than a fall, Friday night football game?

5. College visits at MHS this week include Western New England University, Salve Regina University, Newport, RI, Springfield, MA, University of Maine at Farmington,  Farmington, ME, and the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI

It looks to me like another LAW that will not work if you haven't set up a retirement plan theRead More minute you got a job that's your problem. What is wrong with the younger generation is you say to them if they had a ROTH when I was working I wouldn't need an accountant to do my taxes. No law will help you save for retirement only YOU can do that.

A great leap backward for the Patch. Most people I know say it is too hard to comment. I agree itRead More stinks.

all above, i agree. the layout of this has become rife with those dumb 'frames', cute slidingRead More (annoying) things, and those drop down menues are simply time wasting! like the old originalk Model T Ford, the site has 'improved' beyond utility, to an expression of some PhD in Info Tech's fantasy. i mentioned the same to whatziz name, paul?, but this new look must have been like a 'hammer' from Arrianne Huffington herself. most people use ad blocking software anyway, to obscure the junk they try to foist on you, they should just offer a nice consolidated page (alone) that shows local deals within range of the people who read.
