Have your binoculars and telescope handy?
does--and they've invited to public to celebrate National Astronomy Day on Saturday with some star gazing.
The college has announced that they'll host a free event on April 28 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Olin Observatory in Olin Science Center.
“Attendants will gain knowledge of telescopes and the night sky, and will have access to people knowledgeable in the subject of astronomy who can answer their questions,” Leslie Brown, Connecticut College associate professor of physics and astronomy, said in the press release.
And the event will feature more than awesome views of the night sky, the college said in the press release. They will have some guests speakers, activities for the kids, and if the weather holds out, views of three planets, the moon and Orion nebula!
