Dinner, child care will be provided for May 8 event at Montville High School

Montville Public Schools presents a ‘Community Conversation About Education,’ on Wed. May 8 from 4:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The event gathers Montville parents, teachers, students, PTOs, community leaders, elected officials, Board of Education members, senior citizens and members of the business community in a discussion on ‘Creating a Culture for Learning.’

The event is possible through a William Graustein Memorial Fund grant. According to its website, the fund’s mission is to improve the effectiveness of education in fostering both personal development and leadership.

According to an invitation provided by the school district, which is attached to this article, the event, which will be held in the Montville High School cafeteria, includes dinner and childcare will be provided. Reservations are required.

Up to 100 participants can be accommodated and reservations are required with an RSVP deadline of April 26 to mtripp@montvilleschools.org or call 860-848-1228. The dinner will include ziti, tossed salad, bread sticks, desert and beverages. If a child attending has any special dietary restrictions, officials are asking that attendees please provide a boxed dinner for the child.

For folks attending that will need childcare, they should plan on arriving between 4:45-5:00 p.m. and report to the registration desk to register your child for the evening.
