The Town of Montville Public Safety Building is well under way. In the original plans there is a space for a regional dispatch center that can accommodate up to six dispatch positions.
We are hoping that other towns that border Montville will consider joining us in this money-saving project.
Our vision is a true regional center run by the board of directors with an executive director who runs the center. By embracing this type of model, it will take the politics out of the operations of this center. Each town would pay its share of the costs per capita after the 911 fund money is deducted from total operational costs.

Talking about progress, our two radio sites have already been upgraded to IP based microwave system for connectivity. Our new radio tower will be complete by March 23. This is a integral part of improving communication for Montville Public Safety.
We hope to be in our new home in the later part of 2012.
