National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week 2012

Every year National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week is the second week of April. This year April 8 -14 is the week dedicated to our public safety telecommunication specialists, in and article in on 911.com they estimate there are over 200,000 telecommunications specialists in the United States. These men and women are the first people that you speak to when you call 911. They are highly trained and certified, they are there for you in your time of need and send proper help for your emergency. If you know a telecommunications specialist say hi or thank you next week. Our Town is currently building a new public safety building along with a state of the art 911 / Communications Center.
