Fireworks Safety

Fireworks Safety for the 4th of July Holiday

In the State of Connecticut almost all fireworks except for sparklers and fountains are illegal. If you are using these items you should take precautions to be safe. Also, children under 16 can not use fireworks  even if supervised by adults in accordance with Connecticut State Law.

If you are going to engage in the use of these items, here are a few safety tips:

  • Never light fireworks indoors or near dry grass areas
  • Always have a bucket of water or fire extinguisher nearby
  • Do not wear loose clothing while using fireworks
  • Stand a safe distance away from lite fireworks, if it does not go off do not stand over it to investigate why it did not work
  • Always read the safety directions and warning labels from these devises.

If you use illegal fireworks and set someone's property on fire, you will be held responsible. Remember fireworks and alcohol do not mix. Please have a safe holiday and seek a legal show for your families enjoyment.
