Just looking at our debt and interest payments I added up $1,791,929 that pays for education principal and interest for the school building projects, so actually the Education budget is $38,424,664 if you account for all of the tax dollar going to education and the facilities.
I am not against education but let's look at the real picture, when you add up the dollars. The town has supported education, now it is time to improve some of our other investments such as town buildings, roads, fire apparatus and expand the city water service to other areas of town.
The mill rate for 2011-12 is anticipated to be set at 23.24 mills, thank you to all for keeping the budget reasonable for the upcoming fiscal year.
