The Town Administration/Rules & Procedures Standing Committee is scheduled to hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. in Room 102, in Montville Town Hall. On the agenda is a discussion of the job description for the position of the mayor’s assistant, and a discussion of the mayor’s assistant contract.

The Board of Education is scheduled to hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. in the library/media center in Montville High School.

  • A status update on the School Resource Officer position
  • A reception for the Teacher of the Year
  • Introduction of new staff
  • A report on the 2011 CMT/CAPT tests
  • A review of the 2011-2102 school calendar

The Board of Assessment Appeals has scheduled a special meeting for 6 p.m. According to the agenda, the sole purpose of the meeting is to hear appeals related to assessments of Supplemental Motor Vehicle assessments from the grand list of Oct. 1, 2010.

The Parks and Recreation Commission has scheduled its regular monthly meeting for 6 p.m. in the Town Council Chamber. In addition to the commission's annual report, and a discussion of the Fair Oaks contractor's "failure to fulfill the obligations for the contract for construction," the agenda also includes:

  • A discussion of the Gardner Lake/Hope Meade State Park swimming area idea
  • An update on the status of funds for the special revenue accound
  • Parks & Rec overtime expenditures
  • Final cost of the Camp Oakdale restroom
  • An update on the STEAP grant
  • A discussion of the Trick or Trunk even
  • An assessment of the storm damage to Camp Oakdale

Thursday, Sept. 22

The Public Safety Building Committee holds its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. in Room 203 of town hall.
