Montville Town Meetings Are Scheduled

Monday, March 7

The Water Pollution Control Authority is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, in the Town Council chamber.

The major item on the agenda is an executive session on “discussions regarding contract negotiations with Rand Whitney.”

Tuesday, March 8

The Planning & Zoning Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the council chamber. On the agenda is an application for a site plan modification for the relocation of a tower and the addition of two buildings on Cook Road. The Commission is also scheduled to discuss proposed changes to the town zoning regulations regarding special flood hazard area requirements “as identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) which includes acceptance of the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance Rates Maps (FIRM) dated July 18, 2011.”

Thursday, March 10

The Youth Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at the Youth Center at 6 p.m. On the agenda is a discussion of programs, events and fundraisers, including the winter championships, March Madness, NFL Play 60 and more.

The Public Safety Building Committee is scheduled to hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. in Room 203 of Town Hall. On the agenda is a discussion of the close of the design development phase of the project, the final review of the tower request for proposals, a discussion of the next phase of the project, and a draft of a letter to the Town Council regarding the attorney.

The Gardner Lake Authority is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m., at the Bozrah Senior Center, 111 Bishops Road, Bozrah. No agenda was available Saturday night.

Saturday, March 12

The nonprofit tag sale at Fair Oaks School, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is to benefit the Montville High School Class of 2011.
