What's Open and Closed on Veterans Day? Most Montville Businesses Are Open!

Monday marks the observance of Veterans Day and local, state and federal offices are closed. But Montville's businesses are mostly open; so grab a movie, order a pizza and don't forget the milk!

 

Sunday, Nov. 11, was Veterans Day, a federal holiday on which we pay tribute to those who have serve our country in the Armed Forces.

But the holiday is also celebrated today, Monday, Nov. 12.

Veterans Day was originally named Armistice Day when it was signed into law in 1938 to honor the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. Here's a look at some of what's open and closed:
