Viewfinder: A Reader's Best Friend

Paws- itive Reading Day At Raymond Library

For young readers, the incentive of reading to a dog is hard to beat.  A dog is patient when the reader struggles with a new vocabulary word and never reacts judgmentally.

Young readers are matched up with trained Pet Therapy Labrardor retrievers in the "Paws-itive Reading Days" program that is entering its second year at Montville's .  The program is offered every month to pre-kindergarten through 5th grade-readers in the children's section of the library.

Take a look at our  Viewfinder photo gallery to see how our young readers interact with a canine reading companion.
