Town Council, Planning and Zoning, Inland Wetlands Commission Set Meetings

Two executive sessions scheduled for council meeting

Monday, Sept. 12

The Town Council holds its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the Town Council Chamber in Montville Town Hall.

On the agenda is an executive session to discuss litigation with the state, and an executive session to discuss “E. Osterman, Inc. v. Town of Montville and Town of Montville Board of Assessment Appeals,” a matter before the New London Sperior Court.

There will be reports from Fire Marshal Ray Occhialini, Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz, and the Montville Police Department and the town attorney, remarks from administrative department heads, standing committees and special committees and liaisons.

The council will consider various appointments and fiscal mattersm including accepting a onetime payment from the WPCA for $220,000, and will consider accepting a settlement in the Osterman case.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

The Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled its regular monthly meeting for 7 p.m. in the Town Council chamber. Thursday, Sept. 15

The Inland Wetlands Commission has scheduled a meeting for 7 p.m. in the council chambers in town hall.

Saturday, Sept. 17

The nonprofit tag sale at Fair Oaks School, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is to benefit the Mohegan Congregational Church.
