State Numbers Improve Montville Budget Outlook
Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz Says the Proposed Mil Rate Will Be Lower
Additional revenue from the state in the area of property tax relief is going to make a difference in Montville's 2011-2012 budget, Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz said on Thursday.
The town was coming up $68,000 short, Jaskiewicz said, and now, "it's $174,000 to the good."
He said the proposed mil rate increase of .75 now is a .60 mil increase.
