Awesome forecast - check out parking, beach conditions, etc., on Twitter!

With all state park beaches open this July 4th Weekend and hot, sunny weather on the horizon, the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) is expecting a busy weekend at all state parks, according to a friday press release.

"In light of the forecast, there is a possibility that some parking lots may reach full capacity at any of our parks, especially at peak times during the day, which is typically before noon," said DEEP Deputy Commissioner Susan Frechette in the release.  "Parking lots at state parks are closed if they reach capacity, but are usually reopened later in the day as spaces become available.

“The Fourth of July weekend is typically our busiest weekend and this weekend promises to be no different,” added Frechette.  “We encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy the weekend with friends and families at a Connecticut State Park or Forest.”
