Monday, March 19

The Economic Development Commission meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled.

The Board of Education special meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled.

The Montville Town Council has scheduled a special meeting to introduce and set a meeting date to discuss an ordinance allowing Connecticut Light & Power an easement across town property. That meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in Montville High School auditorium.

The Montville Town Council has scheduled a special town meeting for residents to comment and vote on to give the . The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Montville High School. Residents will be allowed to comment, and to vote.

Tuesday, March 20

The Housing Authority is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. in Independence Village, 41 Milefski Drive.

The Board of Education Policy Committee has scheduled a meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the superintendent’s small conference room to discuss revisions on policy concerning nondiscrimination, placement and school visitors.

The Educational Evaluation Committee will also meet at 5:15 p.m., in the superintendent’s conference room, to discuss “a camp invention.”

The Board of Education has scheduled its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at Montville High School. In addition to the recognition of  Jacob Callaghan, Kevin Doherty and Michael Kurasz for their breast-cancer awareness drive; Debbie Ingoglia for service above and beyond the call of duty; Kellie Brennan for her leadership as student government president at Montville High School; Jessica Lilienthal, Burke Reagan, Eileen Richmond, Amy Richter, David Rowley, and Debra Spera for serving as guest readers for the “Hunger Games” project at Palmer Academy, and Justin Edwards for supportive mentoring, the agenda includes:

  • An update on the budget
  • Votes on policy revisions
  • The setting of tuition rates

Wednesday, March 21

The Parks & Recreation Commission has scheduled a regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the town council chamber. The agenda includes funding status, a discussion of summer camp and bus transportation, expansion of the wrestling programs, an update on lacrosse, and a discussion of a community tag sale.

Thursday, March 22

The Public Safety Building Committee has a meeting set for 6 p.m. in Room 203 in Montville Town Hall.

Saturday, March 24

The nonprofit tag sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fair Oaks is to benefit the Montville Youth Wrestling Team.
