Some Unusual Montville Meetings This Week

State DOT will hold a session about bridge replacement, and the League of Women Voters sets the date for a candidate debate.

The following meetings are scheduled this week:

Monday, Oct. 3

The Water Pollution Control Authority has its regular monthly meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Town Council chamber in Montville Town Hall.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

A public information meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. in the Town Council chamber in Montville Town Hall to learn about and discuss two projects to replace bridges on Route 163.

The bridges in question are over Fox Brook and Oakdale Brook.

The meeting is being put on by the state Department of Transportation. Residents, business owners, commuters, and  “other interested individuals  are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about and discuss the proposed projects.”

Wednesday, Oct. 5

The Zoning Board of Appeals has scheduled a meeting for 7 p.m. in the council chamber in Montville Town Hall.

The League of Women Voters has scheduled a candidates forum for 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Montville High School. A mayoral debate will be first, with a break before the debate among Town Council candidates. Questions are encouraged.

Thursday, Oct. 6

The Commission on Aging is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. in the Montville Senior Center.

Saturday, Oct. 8

The non-profit tag sale at the Fair Oaks School, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is to benefit the Center of the Blind.
