Sex-Offender Treatment Center Meetings Lead the List

Meetings on Monday Take Place in Hartford and Montville

Monday, April 4

There is a public hearing in the Legislative Office Building in Hartford at 10 a.m., on Bill No. 6632, concerning the siting of sexual offender treatment facilities. Citizens are invited to speak at the public hearing, and to send letters or emails to be entered into the record. For more, click here.

The Town Council is scheduled to hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. in the Town Council chamber in Town Hall, “to consider and act on a resolution to terminate the funding for the litigation between the Town of Montville and the State of Connecticut regarding the sex offender facility.”

The Water Pollution Control Authority is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the Town Council chamber in Town Hall. On the agenda are reports from various divisions and subcommittees, a report from the engineers, and also from the mayor. There will be an update on the process of transferring funds back to the WPCa, and a discussion regarding a sewer connection for a property at 65 Derry Hill Road.

Also on the agenda is a motion to authorize the installation of a fire hydrant at Occum Lane.

The Public Safety Building Committee is scheduled to hold an informational session at 10 a.m. in the council chamber, on the request for proposals for the .

 The Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the Council chamber. On the agenda is a request for a variance to allow for a two-family home at 36 Bergman Drive.

Thursday, April 7

The Commission on Aging is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. in the Senior Center Library. On the agenda are updates on the , on policy and procedures, and on senior safety zones.
