Schools, Town Budgets' Public Hearings Set

April 23 and 24 are the dates for public hearings on schools, town budgets


Two public hearings have been scheduled for the community to weigh in on both the Montville Board of Education budget and the municipal budget.  

This year, Montville Schools Superintendent Pamela Aubin said, at least for the schools side of the town’s $55,958,148 spending plan, the budget presentation at the hearing will be less formal and also, will be posted on the school’s website in advance of the hearing.  

The schools budget, at $36,632,735,is scheduled for public comment on Tuesday April 23 at 6 p.m. in the Montville High School auditorium.  

The town budget, which includes the school’s portion, is $56 million and the public hearing for it is Wednesday April 24 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers in Montville Town Hall.  

The budget is slated for approval May 14.
