The headline is this: The public forums slated for winter are the chance for the community to weight in on Montville Public Schools 2013-2014 budget before it’s sent to the town.
“It’s (the community’s) opportunity to give us input on the budget,” Schools Superintendent Pamela J. Aubin said at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting. A full public hearing will be held in April (see full schedule below)
The public budget forums are as follows:
- Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. in the Montville High School Library/Media Center for Leonard J. Tyl Middle School, Montville High School, and Palmer Academy
- Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. in the Montville High School Library/Media Center for Mohegan School, Oakdale School, and Dr. Charles E. Murphy School
- Friday, February 1, 2013, 10 a.m., Senior Citizens Center
The Board of Education budget workshop then is slated for the week following the final forum; Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. also in the Montville High School Library/Media Center.
