State Representative Betsy Ritter (D-Waterford, Montville) will meet with constituents Thursday, Jan. 17 in Montville and Friday, Jan. 18 in Waterford.
The sessions are designed to give residents an opportunity to discuss issues important to them and address any concerns with Ritter as the 2013 legislative session gets under way.
"This is an opportunity for people to make recommendations for changes to our laws, discuss more general concerns or just say hello,” a statement from Ritter read. “In previous years, these conversations have been valuable to me and have provided good ideas for initiatives that have helped our community.”
Ritter will be available to constituents from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday in Room 102 in Montville Town Hall.
She will meet with residents in Waterford on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the basement conference room in Waterford Public Library.
Ritter is the Deputy House Speaker, the person who presides over the House of Representatives when House Speaker Brendan Sharkey is not in the chamber.
Ritter represents the 38th Assembly District and also serves as a member of the legislature's Appropriations, Human Services and Energy and Technology committees.
