None of Montville's Post Offices on Closure List

Fifteen post offices in the state are on the list for closure

None of the three post offices in Montville, and in fact, none of the U.S. Post Offices in southeastern Connecticut were among the 15 post offices in the state that could be closing.

The closures are an effort to address the $2.8 billion lost by the  mail service last year.

There are about 400 post offices in Connecticut. In June, it was reported that as many as 150 were being looked at as part of an aggressive cost-saving plan to close up to 3,600 post offices nationwide.
