Municipal Meetings This Week August 6 - 10
Closed-door session on draft Public Safety Plan at 7 p.m. tonight.
Tonight two meetings are slated; both designated ‘special.’
First up, the Montville Town Council meets in Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m. with a single agenda item, save for public comments; a motion to waive the sealed bid requirement to appoint counsel for the upcoming bond issue. The matter was raised in last week’s finance committee meeting.

The second ‘special’ Monday meeting is a Public Safety Commission executive session, a closed-door session to discuss the draft Public Safety Plan. It is unclear why a public plan is being discussed in executive session and under what authority. Montville Patch will attend and get the answer. The meeting is slated for 7 p.m., also in Council Chambers.
The Gardner Lake Authority meets Thursday at 7 p.m. in Salem Town Hall, 270 Hartford Turnpike. There is as of press time no posted agenda. We’ll check back.
