Montville Town Meetings - April 8-11

A week filled with town and school meetings

Today, Monday April 8 there’s a Town Council, Special Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Montville Town Hall. The purpose is an executive session to interview candidates for posts on the Parks & Rec and Inland Wetlands commissions.

Following the special meeting Monday April 8, is the Town Council regular meeting at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers with a packed agenda including the mayor’s proposed budget.

The BOE Policy Committee meets Tuesday, April 9 at 5:15 p.m. at Montville High School in the superintendent’s small conference Room. The single agenda item is to discuss and act on replacing the suspension, expulsion, due process student discipline policy.  At the same time, 5:15 p.m. in the superintendent’s large conference room, the Educational Evaluation Committee meets to approve the Teacher and Administrator Evaluation Plans.

The Board of Education regular meeting is set for April 9 at 6 p.m. The full agenda includes discussion and approval of the Educator Evaluation and Development plan for submission to the State Department of Education, Montville Marvels, reports and presentations. The meeting will be held at the Montville High School Library/Media Center.

The Planning & Zoning Commission, meeting slated for Tuesday, April 9 at 7 has been canceled.

The Montville Youth Advisory Board meets Thursday April 11 at 6 p.m. at the Montville Youth Center, 289 Norwich-New London Turnpike.

Also on April 11, the Gardner Lake Authority meets at 7 p.m. in room 203 of the Montville Town Hall.
