UPDATED: DTC Meeting Canceled, Montville Meetings This Week March 11 - March 14

The Democratic Town Committee meeting slated for tonight at 7 has been canceled.

The postponed public hearing on an ordinance that regulates peddlers which would see a section in the law about That hearing will be followed at 6:30 p.m. by a Town Council executive session to discuss a near $7,000 tax refund to a development company as well as an update on the Cubilla lawsuit against the town. This meeting is followed at 7 p.m. by the regular Town Council meeting whose multi-page agenda includes discussion of town wide trash pickup among myriad other business.

On Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m., the Planning & Zoning Commission meets in Council Chambers with an agenda that includes site plan reviews for a water tank for Butlertown Road and a mixed-use development for Rt. 32.

Also on Tuesday March 12 is a special Public Safety Commission meeting at 5 p.m. with a two-item agenda; remarks from the public and new firefighter interview.  The same agenda is slated for the following day, March 13 also at 5 p.m. with the same two item agenda.

The Gardner Lake Authority meets Thursday March 14, at 7 p.m. at the Bozrah Senior Center 342 Fitchville Road in Bozrah.

Thursday March 14 is a busy day, municipally speaking. There are three other meetings slated. The Democratic Town Committee meets at 7 p.m. in Town Hall room 203; there is no published agenda.

The Youth Advisory Board meets Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Montville Youth Center.

And the Town Council meets with the WPCA in a joint meeting at 6:15 in room 203 of Town Hall with an agenda that includes an executive session to discuss the terms of an agreement between the town and Rand Whitney that would resolves all legal disputes concerning water treatment and supply.
