Montville Meetings This Week Jan. 7 - Jan. 10

Several meetings this week including two school budget forums for the community to bring its school budget priorities.

 

Today, Monday Jan. 7, the WPCA meets at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. The very-full agenda includes a motion to approve a onetime payment of $500,000 to the town for debt owed to  the town as well as an executive session to discuss the McNally lawsuit and a discussion on increasing the user rate for homes that have been designated ‘Boarder Homes’ currently connected to the public sewer system.

Tuesday, Jan. 8 the Planning & Zoning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers and its very light agenda includes just one action item: road acceptance for a subdivision.

Also Tuesday, the Board of Education holds a Special Meeting, which is actually the first of two budget forums this week created for the community to provide input on the 2013-2014 schools budget. The forum is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Montville High School in the library/media center.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. has been canceled.

The second budget forum will be held Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Montville High School in the library/media center.

The Democratic Town Committee meets Thursday Jan. 10 at 7:00 p.m., Montville Town Hall, Room 203.
