UPDATED: Town Council, Public Hearing Canceled Montville Meetings This Week Feb. 11 - Feb. 14

Even a blizzard can't stop Montville from taking care of business.

Updated at 12 p.m.:

Mayor Ron McDaniel annouced tonight's Town Council meeting has been rescheduled for Wed. at 6 p.m. and the public hearing will be held in March.

Original story:

The Montville Town Council meets tonight, Monday Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers with a very full agenda including myriad personnel-related executive session items. But before the regular meeting is a Public Hearing at 6:30 p.m. on an ordinance regulating peddlers. The change that necessitated the hearing is the removal of the section about peddlers not being permitted to set up within a mile of a ‘permanent’ business, a bricks-and-mortar store.

The Planning & Zoning Commission meeting slated for 7 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 12 has been canceled.

There are three Board of Education meetings for Tuesday Feb. 12 beginning with the BOE Policy Committee and the BOE Educational Evaluation Committee, both of which meet at 5:15 p.m. in the large and small superintendents’ conference rooms at Montville High School. The regular BOE meeting is set for 6 in the MHS library/media center. The Policy committee will finalize the drug dog search/seizure policy. The regular meeting has its usual jam-packed agenda including our favorite Montville Marvels.

The Democratic Town Committee meets Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. in room 203 of Montville Town Hall. There is as of yet no published agenda.
