Democrats have taken control of the town of Montville, with Ron McDaniel being voted into office and a 5-2 Democrat majority being elected to the Town Council.
"It’s been a long process," McDaniel said.
The Town Council, in order of votes received, is Billy Caron, Gary Murphy, Laura Tanner, Candy Buebendorf, Dana McFee, Chuck Longton and Rosetta Jones.
"Alot of people have worked hard," McDaniel said. "I'm pleased by the unofficial results.
"We ran a nice, clean campaign, and tried to remain civil," he said.
