Here's Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz's Proposed Budget in Its Entirety

The budget reflects a proposed 1.48 percent increase overall. The general government side shows a 2.5 percent proposed increase, and the school side, a 1 percent proposed increase. To read more, click here. To read about an error in the town's favor, click here.

"It's the first time in three or four budgets that the general government is asking for more than the school board," Jaskiewicz said. "It’s time, honestly, that general government gets some money to do things. We can’t keep cutting, cutting , cutting."

There are two public hearings on the proposed budget next week. The first, on the proposed school board budget, takes place Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m., in the Town Council chamber.

The second, on the proposed government budget, takes place Thursday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in the council chamber.
