FEMA Will Tour Town Today Surveying Sandy Damage

Federal agency to assess damage and town will proceed with paperwork to obtain storm cleanup cost reimbursement.

 

According to Montville Emergency Management Director Raymond Occhialini the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will tour the town evaluating damage.

Occhialini said on his Facebook page that the town will then proceed to complete the requisite paperwork to obtain Sandy maintenance and cleanup costs reimbursement.

The first 10 days, Occhialini said, are being funded “at 100 percent instead of the normal 75 percent” so the town will be moving quickly.
