Election Gets the Comments Flying

On Facebook and the Montville Patch, Montville citizens are charged up about the election

Montvillians were commenting like crazy Tuesday night, on the Montville Patch, and on Facebook, about the election.

More than 34 percent of Montville’s eligible voters participated in the election, choosing Democrat Ron McDaniel as mayor, and selecting a Town Council also dominated by Democrats.

Lynda writes, on the Montville Patch, that she “Was glad to see so many people out voting today. Now that these elections are over, lets get this town moving in the right direction...once again. I for one am excited to see how many of the voters will show up at the Town Council Meetings now....Hmmmmmm.”

“Congratulations to Ron McDaniel and the Democrat team,” Jerry Roberts writes on the Montville Patch. “I can't help but feel that because of all the mudslinging from some of your opponents, the voters made the logical choice…”

Eighteen people on the Montville Patch Facebook page “liked” Tuesday night’s breaking story that it looked like McDaniel had won the mayor’s race. (And hey, if you're going to check out the page, please Like us!)
