Caucuses Reveal Surprises
Democrat Joe Jaskiewicz will not run for council; Republicans add 19-year-old to slate
The Republican and Democratic town committees met tonight to endorse slates of candidates for the November election.
Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz, who had chosen not to run for mayor, and had been nominated to serve on the Town Council, announced this evening at the Democratic caucus that he would not run for that council position.
In addition, Joe Socha withdrew from the race for Board of Assessment Appeals, and John Geary was slated for that race.
