Top three issues facing and the town how you would address them

1. Economy
The financial issues facing not only the town but also the state are the top issue. We need to find ways to broaden our revenue base without placing a bigger burden on the residents of Montville, both homeowners and businesses. I would like to see tax breaks for new businesses that could be be extended to current businesses when the financial situation improves.
2. Aging population
As a larger portion of our community approaches retirement, at a time when we need to remove some of the burden from their shoulders, more demands are placed on them. We need to find ways to support our elderly without hurting the town as a whole.
3. Keeping our youth involved with the world around them
Too much time is spent in front of a TV, computer, or other electrical device that we are losing our sense of community.
One thing that most people don’t know about you
I ran for the House of Representatives in 2010 because it was the right thing to do. I can't complain about the mess we are in if I am not willing to stand up and try to make a difference.
