Joseph Courtney (D) and his challenger, Paul Formica (R), faced off today in a web debate sponsored by The Day of New London. The two candidates took questions ranging from their stands on Medicare reform to the burgeoning student loan problem.
Senate
Linda McMahon (R): Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch cracked a joke that that Bridgeport will deliver votes for a Chris Murphy win, even if they’re a few days late. The reference to Bridgeport’s 2010 election woes didn’t go over well with the McMahon campaign, according to the Associated Press.
Chris Murphy (D): Candidates throughout the country know that this election is all about the economy. That’s part of the reason why Murphy is trying to take over the issues of jobs in light of Linda McMahon’s campaign.

According to the Stamford Advocate, Murphy is “on the defense about job creation,” but the candidate is working to change that.
