A Fairly Busy Week for Montville Meetings

Monday, May 23

The Public Safety Commission meets in the Town Council chamber at 7 p.m. On the agenda is a discussion of the progress of the Public Safety Building, an update on the firefighter-hiring process and a discussion on the status of funding for a public safety plan from the town. Tuesday, May 24

The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting that had been scheduled has been canceled.

The Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a special meeting at 5:30 in the council chamber. On the agenda is consideration of a memorandum of understanding with Rand Whitney Containerboard regarding the new commercial billing system.

Wednesday, May 25

The Public Works/Solid Waste Standing Committee is scheduled to meet at 5:30 in Room 102 of town hall. On the agenda is a discussion of an increase in tipping fees, and a "Pay as You Throw" progam,  discussions of the town auction, the adopt-a-Road program, bridge repairs, road repairs and a proposed metal-collection ordinance.

The Public Safety Building Committee is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. in Room 203 of town hall. No agenda was posted as of Sunday morning.
