The Board of Education Policy Committee meets at 5:15 in the small conference room in Montville High School at 800 Colchester Road in Oakdale. The committee will consider approving a new policy on social networking and consider an action to approve Board of Education bylaws.

The Board of Education Evaluation Committee is having a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the superintendent's large conference room in Montville High School at 800 Colchester Road in Oakdale. The committee will discuss under-enrolled courses for 2011-2012.

The Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. in the Montville High School Library. The agenda says there will be CABE student leadership awards and a reception to honor 2010-2011 retirees. The agenda lists a lot of new business: the board will approve courses with enrollments under 10 and 15 students, the board will consider approving the new policy on social networking , the board will receive a report on the 2009-2010 Strategic School Profiles, which has to do with school improvement, and the board will elect whether or not to permit the sale of food and beverages not normally permitted to be sold during the school year, but during an event after school or on the weekend. There will also be committee liaison reports.

The Finance Committee Special Meeting meets at 5:00 p.m. in room 203 in the Town Hall. The committee will discuss the public safety commission budget, the police budget and review the mayor's proposed 2011-2012 budget. The committee may submit its recommendation to the town council.

Wednesday, May 18th

The Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 6 p.m. at Camp Oakdale on Route 63 in Oakdale.

The Town Council is having a special meeting at 6 p.m. in council chambers to consider a motion to enter into closed confidential session to discuss an ethics complaint filed with the Town Council.
