Trees and Wires Down, Roads Closed Throughout Montville

Montville Police ask people to stay inside if they can

At 5:30 this morning, power was out to 40 percent of the homes in Montville. The Police Department itself was running on a generator.

Montville Dispatch reported that they were very, very busy. Most calls were coming for downed trees and wires.

Simpson Lane at  No. 66

Fitch Hill Road is closed at No. 514, but Dispatch expected it to be cleared soon.

Montville Police have been receiving other calls, as well, including questions about whether people should drive to work in other towns.

The dispatcher urged people to stay away from trees and wires, and said that Connecticut Light & Power is not going to address issues today unless they are life-threatening.
