Seeking ID, Waterford Police Release Image of Suspect

Police say the man attempted to rob the Cumberland Farms in the Quaker Hill section of Waterford.

The Waterford Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery of the Cumberland Farms store in the Quaker Hill section of town.

The incident took place at about 10:30 p.m. on April 16, at the Cumberland Farms at 47 Norwich-New London Turnpike. Police said the suspect was observed in both the Montville and Quaker Hill Cumberland Farms stores minutes prior to the attempted robbery.

Police said the suspect was wearing dark clothing, a parka style winter jacket and had a mask to cover his face. When leaving the scene, the suspect reportedly ran south in the direction of Lathrop Road.
